crowded teeth are more than just a problem of aesthetics. They can also lead to gum inflammation & teeth cavities. When teeth are straightened using braces, it lowers your risk of cavities, improves your overall oral health, and improves your smile. In addition, a correctly aligned bite can also help solve pain or other issues that affect the jaws.
Book Your Appointmentyou’ll visit our office for a full evaluation. During this appointment, we’ll take X-rays, scans, and photos to create a precise digital model of your teeth. You’ll also receive an accurate treatment estimate and discuss payment plan options.
Three weeks after your consultation, we’ll schedule an appointment to review your customized braces treatment plan. We’ll walk you through your expected tooth movements, explain the type of braces recommended for you, and discuss where brackets and wires will be placed. Once you approve the plan, we’ll schedule your braces placement and prepare to begin treatment.
At this in-person visit, we’ll place your braces and make any necessary adjustments. You’ll receive detailed instructions on how to care for your braces, what to expect during the first few weeks, and when to return for follow-up appointments to keep your treatment on track.
Throughout your treatment, you’ll have check-ups every couple of months—either virtually or in-office—to monitor progress and ensure everything is moving as planned.
Once your braces treatment is complete, we’ll assess your results. If your teeth are properly aligned and your bite feels comfortable, we’ll remove your braces and take impressions or scans for your retainers. If additional adjustments are needed, we’ll continue treatment to fine-tune your smile before moving to retention.

We’re proud to be able to offer patients an alternative — clear braces for adults and teens in Crystal Dental. They are just as effective as metal braces for correcting gaps, misalignments or crooked teeth, but they’re nearly invisible. This makes them perfect for teens, professionals, and others who don’t want dental work to impact their appearance.
Clear braces operate similarly to traditional braces with a bracket on each tooth and a wire threaded between them. The biggest difference is that these brackets and wires are made out of tooth-colored resin that matches the surrounding teeth, making them practically invisible. This doesn’t mean that the brackets are stain-proof, however, so it’s important to keep them perfectly clean during treatment. Generally speaking, both metal and clear braces are used for between 12 and 24 months to correct dental issues.

Braces move your teeth using a system of brackets and wires that apply gentle, continuous pressure over time. The brackets are bonded to your teeth, and the wires are adjusted periodically to guide your teeth into their proper positions. At each visit, we’ll make precise adjustments to keep your treatment progressing as planned.
Depending on your specific situation, treatment can take anywhere from 12 months to 24 month.
With braces, you can drink water and most beverages as usual, but sugary or acidic drinks should be limited to prevent staining and cavities around the brackets. You can eat with braces, but certain foods should be avoided to prevent damage, such as hard, sticky, or chewy foods (like nuts, hard candy, gum, or caramel). After eating, it’s important to brush and floss thoroughly to remove food trapped around the brackets and wires and to keep your teeth and gums healthy throughout treatment. If you want, I can also make this more patient-friendly, shorter, or more clinical to match the rest of your Invisalign/braces comparison content.
Most of our patients will come in once every 1 or 2 months for appointments.
Braces can feel uncomfortable, especially during the first few days after placement or following adjustments, but they are not typically painful. Most patients describe the sensation as pressure or soreness rather than pain. This discomfort usually fades within a few days as your teeth adjust. Over-the-counter pain relievers and soft foods can help during this period.
